Can one achieve the perfect feeling and if so what is it?
Since we are all driven by emotions, it would serve us to understand how we can create peace and joy within the combination of our animalistic and spiritual selves.
On one hand we have the soul who only knows love and exercises the desire to increase harmony.
On the other hand we have the human species as an animal with urges and emotions that may pull us in an undelightful, even detrimental, direction and in doing so many times creates disharmony.
The perfect feeling is not the ‘good’ or ‘comfortable’ feelings like joy and love, nor is it the ‘bad’ or ‘uncomfortable’ feelings like sadness and anger.
It is a combination of all feelings but more importantly than the feelings themselves, it is the belief that all feelings are ‘good’ and ‘right’ and that we are meant to feel them all, and in fact it is okay to do so. We are emotional beings; that is part of being human.
We also have a soul inside; and that is also part of being human. As human beings, we are not one without the other.
If you chase the soulful part, you will have ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ and will never be permanently in a ‘good’ place because you will be constantly chasing the next best loving feeling in an attempt to escape the angry or sad feelings.
The key is to allow love and joy to coexist with anger, sadness, jealousy and fear, and to truly find the goodness in this mingling. To put it bluntly, we must let go of ‘putting up with’ our emotional self to truly liking and loving it. The result of this unconditional mingling creates the perfect feeling where love and joy coexist with every other human emotion we have.
The sooner we realize there is no bad emotion and our peaceful feelings come not in escaping or even changing an emotion but by simply embracing it as we might an innocent child with love and joy, we will experience inner peace.
We can think of ourselves as a rainbow. When we see a rainbow, we see its fullness and completeness. Every color of a rainbow makes the rainbow possible to exist and be seen. If we take away one of the hues, it would no longer be a complete rainbow.
We are like the rainbow, with each aspect of ourselves making us whole and complete. When we try to dim one of our colors emotionally, mentally, physically or spiritually, we are no longer celebrating us. Celebrate every color you have. When you see yourself this way it unifies you with your unconditionally loving soul.
By accepting others as a whole and complete rainbow, we are able to accept their humanness, and thus, accept our own humanness. When we love ourselves we are more deeply able to love others.
Below is a special technique to help you achieve the perfect feeling by accepting all of your emotions. It’s based the Trinity Method, my trademarked three-step process that allows us to connect with every spiritual power we possess. In this case, the Trinity Method is assisting us to create the perfect feeling by turning our emotions into colors. By doing this, the judgmental charge around each emotion is diffused creating a neutral experience of our emotional self leading to the peaceful, joyful feeling of unconditional love.
The Rainbow Freedom Technique
1. BREATHE — (BREATHE IN) and feel yourself connect to your center, the spirit within you.
2. RELEASE — (BREATHE OUT) and expand yourself to create more room for the connection to your spirit. Surrender everything mentally (thoughts), emotionally (feelings) and physically (relax the body) that is not serving your highest purpose in this moment. Continue surrendering.
3. IMAGINE — (CONTINUE BREATHING) each emotion that comes up as a color. If you imagined what color the feeling would be, what color is it? Imagine the plethora of colors making up your unique, beautiful, emotional self, blending and unifying. Imagine what this rainbow of color feels like. Feel your authentic self.
